FAQ

Below please find some frequently asked questions.

How long does it take to do a figure?

In reply I may ask; how long is a piece of string.  It depends on the size, the style, the detail and the need.  We are always available to discuss time frames and have in the past moved things around to satisfy a quick needed request.

What information would you need in order to do a figure?

Well the more information the better.  Sometimes we are lucky and we work from a brief, a drawn out pose, detailed artwork and a precise height requirement.  Other times we work from a sparsely detailed idea “I want a cowboy shooting”.

Basically the more information you provide the closer we can achieve the results you desire.

Would you sign a confidentiality agreement or NDA?

As Englishmen we live by our word and do not discuss any projects with anyone else in or out of the industry.  But if you would like us to sign a NDA or a “mums the word” document we would be happy cot, contingent upon our agreement to the wording.

What would you say your main genre of sculpting is?

Both of us like to work on fantasy lines and get the creative ideas flowing.  But if you can think of a genre, we have probably done figures for it. Historical, Sci-fi, Celebrities, Vehicles, Mechs…..man eating vegetation….well you get my point.

Do you guys always work together?

Not always, in fact most of our work is done separately.  We do talk often and it is great to have someone to bounce ideas off of and different ways to overcome a sculpting obstacle.  We have started working together more on larger projects and so far it’s been very beneficial to us and to the customer.

What is your favourite figure?

That’s a toughy, there have been quite a few.  However I think we both agree that the apocalypse dragon is the best since we put so much time into it and worked side by side (literally) and had a great time sculpting it.

Will you provide work in progress pictures?

If requested yes we certainly try to provide pictures as we go to show our progress and allow the customer to make suggestions and changes.

When do we pay you?

You would pay us upon approval of the figure.  That can either be when you receive the final photograph of the miniature or once you have the figure in your possession.   Payment is required within 30 days of approval.

How soon can you start a figure?

When do you need it?  We usually have a backlog of a month or even more.  But contact us and let us know what you need and when you need it for, we will try to accommodate.  But please understand sometimes a figure can take up to 3 or 4 weeks to complete due to the possible complexities involved.

Can we ask you to make changes?

Of course (within reason).  As we send picture you can suggest changes.  However once the figure is completed we generally allow one round of changes free of charge.  Changes after the completion may incur additional charges.  If however the problem stems from our sculpting i.e. the gun barrel is too thin to cast, then we will gladly make changes to correct the problem free of charge.
