Simon Summers: born and raised in the UK, now living in the North East USA. He is an avid artist in all mediums which is augmented by his graphic design experience and education. Simon’s dad (David) moved to the US in the late 80’s and subsequently Simon spent his summers with his father learning the trade and rubbing shoulders with some of the greats at Ral-Partha (now Ironwind) and Wiz-Kids. With his training from his father with his own twist, Simon (about 8 years ago) wondered out into the North East to become a freelance Sculptor.

David Summers: (Father of Simon) Born in the Northern dales of the UK and still holds true to his barbaric ways (well if looks are anything to go by). David picked up a sculpting tool sometime in the early 80’s and has never looked back. People have often said “David is probably one of the best all round sculptors in the world”. He now resides in some un-chartered area of Ohio. David has worked as an in house sculptor (Ral-Partha and Wiz-Kids), manufactured miniatures (Jakobite) and worked freelance (20+ years). David is a truly experienced sculptor, not just in the art itself but in almost every facet of the miniature making industry.

The Father and Son dynamic offer a not typically seen approach to sculpting. They both work independently but have also been known to work collaboratively (i.e. mage Knight Apocalypse Dragon). Their work has stemmed across the ages and has improved along the way. The quirky and friendly British lads are always willing to discuss a project, offer their sculpting expertise and knowledge, either separately or collaboratively, when called upon…. so feel free to drop them a line.
